Who is responsible for your data

What data we collect, and why
The contact form
When you complete our form, we collect your first name, last name, email address, phone number and the message you write. This information is used solely to answer your enquiry and, where relevant, to prepare a quote.
Legal basis: your enquiry itself, which constitutes pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Article 6.1.b GDPR).
Retention: 3 years from our last exchange, after which the data is deleted.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google Ads to measure how well our advertising performs. Where you consent, an identifier is stored in your browser so that we can tell whether a visit came from an advert and whether it led to an enquiry.
Legal basis: your consent, collected through the banner shown on your first visit (Article 6.1.a GDPR). None of these tools runs until you have accepted.
Technical data
Our host keeps connection logs (IP address, date, pages viewed) for security and diagnostics. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure. Retention: 12 months.
Who has access to your data
Your data is never sold, rented or passed on. It is accessible to our team and to the suppliers strictly needed to run the site:
- o2switch (France) – hosting of the site and its data;
- Brevo (France) – delivery of the emails sent by the form;
- Google Ireland Limited – advertising measurement, only after your consent.
Transfers outside the European Union
Our company is established in the United States and part of our team works from Mauritius. Your data may therefore be accessed from those countries. These transfers are governed by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Google also adheres to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Cookies
On your first visit, a banner lets you accept all, reject all, or choose by category. No non-essential cookie is set before you make that choice.
- Necessary cookies: required for the site to work. They cannot be refused.
- Analytics cookies: number of visitors, pages viewed, where they came from.
- Advertising cookies: attribution of conversions from our Google Ads campaigns.
Your choice is kept for 12 months. You can change it at any time from the cookie settings link on the site, or by deleting cookies in your browser settings.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data, as well as the right to data portability. Where processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
To exercise these rights, write to hello@webmastering-assistance.com. We reply within one month.
If our answer does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country, or with the French CNIL.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Form data is transmitted encrypted and stored on servers located in France. Access to the administration area is restricted and protected.
Changes
This policy may change. Any update is published on this page, with the revision date shown at the top.
